For our next feature match we have Akis Pappas, a very solid pro player with a number of achievements versus 2009 national champion and also very solid pro player Nikos Boulmpasakos. Akis is using Six Samurai and Nikos is using Frognarchs as seen in the previous feature match. Will Nikos win again or will Akis get his six samurai combos going before Nikos could manage to do anything? Let's find out!

Boulmpasakos wins the dice roll and will go first.

Initial hand of Pappas: Six Samurai United, Upstart Goblin, The Six Samurai – Yaichi, Dark Hole, Double-Edged Technique

Boulmpasakos drew for his turn and passed.

Pappas drew Kageki and activated Upstart to draw Royal Oppression. He normal summoned Kageki but when he tried to use his effect Boulmpasakos discarded Effect Veiler to stop him. He then tried to attack directly but Battle Fader ended the battle phase. He set 2 spell or traps to end.

Pappas drew Kagemusha and set Yaichi before passing.

Boulmpasakos summons Treeborn in his standby phase and then tributes both of his monsters for Archlord Kristya (the set monster was Fishborg Blaster). Kristya destroyed Yaichi and play was back to Pappas.

He drew Double-Edged Technique. He set it after checking his synchros and passed again.

Kristya made another direct attack and play was back to Pappas.

He drew Magatama and then activated Dark Hole to send Kristya top of deck. He followed up with Double-Edged, special summoning Kageki and Yaichi. He normal summoned Kagemusha and after attacking with everything for 3400 damage he synchro summoned Scrap Dragon. He then used the second Double-Edged to synchro summon Shi En.

Boulmpasakos brought back Treeborn and discarded Kristya to special summon Fishborg, but Pappas flipped oppression to negate it. Pappas had 2200 life points left. Boulmpasakos pressed on discarding Genex Ally Birdman for Fishborg but Pappas negated it again. Another discard (Lightning Vortex) and Pappas let the summon pass this time. However, Boulmpasakos tributed both of his monsters for Light and Darkness Dragon! LADD traded with Scrap Dragon and then brought back Kristya to attack and destroy Shi En.

Pappas used Signal on his turn to take a Kagemusha from his deck and then set it, but Light and Darkness destroyed it next and when he drew for his next turn he immediately scooped.

Boulmpasakos leads with 1-0 with the help of Kristya and Light and Darkness Dragon! After some quick side decking we move on to the next duel.

Initial hand of Pappas: Gorz the Emissary of Darkness, Legendary Six Samurai – Kageki, Shien's Smoke Signal, Upstart Goblin, Smashing Ground.

Pappas opted to play first in the second duel and drew Rivarly of Warlords. He activated the Signal to add Kagemusha to his hand, then used Upstart Goblin and drew Reinforcements of the Army. He normal summoned Kageki, special summoned Kagemusha and then tuned them for Shi En. He set Rivarly and ended his turn.

In his standby phase Boulmpasakos brought back Treeborn but Pappas flipped Rivarly! He tributed the frog to set a monster and passed.

Pappas drew Kizan. He activated Reinforcements to add Hand of the Six Samurai to his hand and then normal summon it. He special summoned Kizan and tribute the latter to destroy the face down Dark Dust Spirit of his opponent. He attacked with both of his monsters before ending his turn.

Boulmpasakos normal summoned Thunder King Rai-Oh. He was unsure for the rulings of Rivarly and concluded his turn by running over the Hand.

Pappas drew Dimensional Prison. Shi En destroyed Rai-Oh and play was back to Boulmpasakos.

He brought Treeborn Frog back to his field, then after some more discussion about Rivarly rulings he activated Puppet Plant to take control of Shi En. The official ruling was requesedt which was that the move was legal and Boulmpasakos could select between which monster to destroy. Shi En was sent to the graveyard and he set another monster before passing.(at this point Nikos admited that he should have asked for the ruling clarification earlier and that this mistake costed him the game)

Boulmpasakos set another monster.

Pappas drew Monster Reborn. He activated Gateway, used Reborn on Kageki and synchro summoned Shi En. He used the counters from the Gateway to add Kizan from his deck and special summon it. Kizan destroyed Treeborn but the rest of the attacks were stopped by Battle Fader. However, he used his Smashing Ground in main phase 2 to get rid of the fiend monster.

Boulmpasakos brought back Treeborn and passed.

Pappas drew Kageki and normal summoned it. He used 2 counters from the Gateway to boost Shi En, Kageki destroyed Treeborn, Kizan attacked for 2100 damage to drop Boulmpasakos to 2200 life points. Boulmpasakos special summoned Tragoedia, but Shi En was bigger and cleared the way for Grandmaster for a direct attack. Pappas miscalculated and should have used the last 2 remaining bushido counters on the Gateway to secure his victory in this round. However that did not matter as one turn later the duel is over!
