Miltos Markou is what someone may call a living legend of Greek yugioh. The first player to put Greece on the yugioh world map by winning the 2005 World championship. To be able to get a qualification to the World championship Miltos had to defeat Akis Pappas at the finals of the National Championship of the same year. Not slowing down,Miltos then managed to get to the top 4 in the World championship of 2006 and also reached the finals of the 2006 Pharaoh's Tour.Last but not least, his final achievement, before going on a long hiatus, was making the top 8 cut at the 2007 national championship.
After that, many years passed before he finally made his return to the game
The photo at the left features Miltos and Nikos Houris(top 16 ycs Milan) in a feature match at the Greek Nationals of 2011.
While Miltos is visibly trying to get his game going after all this years of absence,he still managed to qualify for the European Championship in Spain this summer so hopefully we will be able to see him at the top tables soon!
